receive a high degree of environmental relief in urban planning
processes foresighted and sustainable planning is necessary. This does
not implicate a downstream reacting to changes in nature and
environment, but a premature regulation through the early integration
of nature and environmental aspects in the urban planning and strategy
Aim of this project is the development of a multiscale and –temporal information system, which harmonizes the heterogeneous data structures in Berlin. This allows an optimized application of these data in planning processes.
The exemplary development of an application for scenario- and alternatives analyses, which includes the spatial explicit assessment of environmental effects for all subjects of protection (water, soil, fauna…) is also part of the information system.
Therefore an interoperability of these data is necessary. The statical maps of the Senate for Urban Development of Berlin (esp. Digital Environmental Atlas) shell be used and adjusted as a dynamic data base and data with different geometries and semantics shell be integrated in the urban planning procedures. With such a tool planning alternatives can be easy and interactive checked. This data homogenization needs to be accomplished conforming to existing national und European standards and directives.
